Hi, was thinking of doing a piston soak on my Diesel Vw transporter (2013 bi turbo cfca engine) with the b12 chentool.  Is this likely to have an adverse effect on the particulate filter or cat? Thanks

If you do a piston soak in a diesel engine using B-12 Chemtool Fuel Injector Cleaner (part #0116), you need to be very diligent in COMPLETELY removing ALL the cleaner from the combustion chambers.  B-12 has a very low cetane value and will prevent the engine from compression-igniting which could damage the engine.  As for the DPF and SCR components, there should be no issue whatsoever there as the B-12 won’t even come in contact with them.
