Hi! I am planning to run a piston soak procedure in a MR20DE engine which comes with the inner side of the oil pan painted from factory. It currently burns a lot of oil due to severe carbon accumulation on the piston rings. I am concerned about stripping the oil pan inner paint due to the B12 draining into the oil pan an eventually blocking the oil mesh. Likewise, would it be safe with the RTV oil pan seal? Would you please comment on this? After how long would the B12 begin to damage paint and seals? Thanks

Berryman B-12 Chemtool Fuel Injector Cleaner (part #0116) is pretty tough on paint, especially in its undiluted form, and silicone RTVs aren't the solution. Instead, you would need better chemical resistance from something like a fluorosilicone (FVMQ) or a fluorinated elastomer like Viton.
