I have a 2008 Toyota Highlander and attempted to start the 3-step cleaning system. The auto will not stay running with the air intake tube removed. How do I do it without the auto running?

On most vehicles, you are able to accelerate the idle under the hood and that will allow you to keep the vehicle running and allow you to perform the air intake cleaning. You could also ask for someone to assist you by having them accelerate the gas pedal a bit, to keep the engine on, while you perform the air intake cleaning step under the hood.
