Is have a Peugeot puretech 1.2L engine which has a timing belt (not chain!) running inside the engine (wet belt design).
These engines are known for developing oil consumption. Mine consumes quit a bit of oil and I'm looking into B12 piston soak as a solution.
Now here's my question:
Is it safe to do a piston soak or will the timing belt deteriorate getting into contact with B12 as some is bound to seep into the cranckcase? I wouldn't want it weaken and fail prematurely obviously.

We would not recommend using B-12 Chemtool Fuel Injector Cleaner (part #0116) for that application. Instead, Berryman Oil Change Flush (part #1216) is a safer bet as it uses many of the same types of components found in engine oil.
