Is it ok to use chem dip #0905 in a plastic container to soak some items in, or will it eat the plastic. If some plastics are ok, which ones are?
Also, do aluminum items have to be fully submerged, or will they get a surface erosion line eaten into them where the air meets the liquid (as can happen with evaporust).
Thank you!!

Steel is the only suitable material for the storage and containment of Chem-Dip part #0905.
In regards to your second question, strange things can occur at the interface between the two layers upon prolonged immersion, depending on the type of ally, the surface treatment, and the history of the component. If you’re just soaking aluminum for the prescribed 30 minutes or so, you shouldn’t see any adverse effects. If you’re soaking a part over the weekend, it is recommended that it be fully submerged in the active layer to avoid such interactions.
