Will the chem-dip (#0996) cause a bronze-color carb to lose its color?

If soaked for a short period of time, 15-30 minutes, it should not affect the color. Do not soak for long periods of time as the chemical will tend to pull the copper out of the bronze and cause a discoloration after a period of time.
