Seal-R does not affect hot vulcanized patches or cord plugs. It can occasionally cause release of cold patches, most often around the edges. Rarely, it has caused smaller patches to come loose. Usually, if this happens, Seal-R seals the underlying hole such that it doesn't cause a problem.
