I have a 2009 Mazda 6 with the 3.7L Ford Duratec V6 and 225K miles. From peering down the spark plug tubes with a borescope, I know the engine has some pretty significant carbon build-up on the piston crowns. I've used the 2611 product a couple of times into the throttle body, and it definitely gets some of the carbon out (my neighbors can attest to this as I smoke up the neighborhood); however, some carbon definitely remains. I\'m leery of doing a full piston soak for such an old, high mileage engine, so I'm thinking my best option might be multiple applications of the 2611 product. Is there a recommended minimum gap between applications by miles, or can I do successive treatments back-to-back until the proverbial and literal smoke clears?

Berryman Intake Valve & Combustion Chamber Cleaner (part #2611) can be used as often as you need it. Typically, this frequency is only one or twice a year, but the product can still be safely applied more frequently, as necessary.
